Lego Indiana Jones borrows heavily from the concept created for Lego Star Wars , offering the same platforming action, only rebuilt under the name Indy. Levels incorporate a mix of activities from fighting enemies to solving simple platform challenges to constructing objects using Legos.
Of course, there's plenty of items to collect, from treasure chests and artifacts to Lego studs that act as currency. You might as well earn a lot of money while looking for a lot of things at the end of the game. It's impossible to get everything the first time. For 100 percent completion, maybe you'll need a second game.
When you play the game solo, you can control as many as three different characters on the screen at any given time, as you switch between Indy and one or two other people who join you at different levels. There are plenty of them from all three movies including Marion from Raiders, Short Round from Temple, and Elsa and Jones Sr. from the Crusades.
Each character has basic combat and platforming skills, though there are special abilities specific to certain characters. Only Indy carries a whip, for example, which is essential in swinging across gaps and disarming enemies. Indy's little sidekick, Short Round, can crawl through tight spaces to reach hidden areas. Others packed shovels for digging objects or books for translating hieroglyphic reliefs.
